Brela

In our little village you can swim and sunbathe on the beach Punta Rata that the American magazine Forbes ranked among the ten most beautiful beaches in the world in 2004.

In addition, you can also hike and explore the beauty of the Biokovo Nature Park. Hidden in the midst of the Biokovo mountain range, you can visit one of the oldest buildings in this area, the church of St. Nicholas, which probably dates back to the 13th century.

Brela offers many other natural beauties, which can be reached on foot or by bicycle. The whole village is scattered with beaches and bays as are rarely found anywhere in the world.
If you wish to sail the sea you can choose between numerous trips to the islands of Brač and Hvar on boats that leave the harbour daily.
You may also wish to visit several towns in the surrounding area such as Makarska (10 km), Split (40 km), Dubrovnik (170 km), Međugorje (99 km) and Mostar (120 km).
As for recreational activities, Brela offers scuba diving, tennis, skating, jogging and hiking. Various other events are also organised, such as “Fishermen's nights” and performances by folklore dancing groups.
